I found a Rimmel counter in Pune but mostly the stuff we want was out of stock, somehow I wanted to own one of these color show off lipstick and picked up this one in a nude shade but a gaudy pink pack take a look at this MLBB shade.

The pack in hot metallic pink is pretty but too bright, the shade is a mauve nude, it has a bit of shimmer or light silver glaze that is barely visible honestly but still it does not count for a matte shade, the texture feels a bit gritty to the same.The shade is a true MLBB it barely adds any color but still adds some shape and some amount of sophistication.

I think it is a good shade for most of us, it is not very milky, it will not wash out most skin tones and for me, this is a nude lip shade, I am not a fan but still it is not a bad shade, It is dry and gritty to apply somehow, the pigmentation looks low when you swipe it, you might need to go on and on.

The shade very surprisingly come out with a matte finish but still some how keeps lips moist, it is not dry but does settle in lines due to the need to swipe it on and on and build it up, I think it has coverage for pigmentation too but does not dry the lips honestly, too dry lips can skip it.

I am not too happy with the texture, color finish I got from this one, for 415, I was hoping for better. BUt you can try it if you like such mauvy nudes, it will not wash you out.

Essence Lipstick In the Nude Review

Looking at the lower range of prices and after reading some fine reviews, I went to buy some Essence lipsticks, but luckily most of the shades were out of stock and I just ended up buying one coral-peach shade “In the Nude-52.” Why I said luckily, read more to find out.

My Take on Essence Lipstick In the Nude:

Whenever I buy a lipstick, 50% of the times, I am not satisfied with the color that shows up on the lips since when we use tester, we check it out on the wrist/hand and actually the color shows different on lips! Looking at it, I intended to buy some expensive and a few affordable lipsticks so that if I dislike the color, I don’ regret much. The reason that I chose Essence was that it comes at a super affordable price with attractive packaging, but I am totally disappointed with the product and the shade.

The packaging is lightweight, sturdy and of the same color as the lipstick, with transparent ring around to show off the lipstick shade. When you open the cover, a pleasant fragrance welcomes you. The lipstick has a sheer coverage, so it imparts actually a lip balm effect on the lips.  The color pigmentation is poor, several swipes are required to show off the color on the lips.

The shade seems a nice peach in the packaging and on wrist swatch, but when applied on the lips, it makes me look dull and washes me out, without creating any effect to enhance my looks! There is no shimmer but a glossy look; however, the lipstick is light on lips, moisturizing and hydrating, the only benefit, so one can use it as a lip balm at home. The lasting power is poor, without eating, maybe not more than 30-45 minutes and with eating, it goes off immediately.

Pros of Essence Lipstick In the Nude:

• Good to use as a lip balm.
• Hydrating and moisturizing.
• Super affordable.
• Lightweight on lips.

Cons of Essence Lipstick In the Nude:

• Poor pigmentation in this particular shade.
• Very less lasting time.
• Washes out medium-fair skin tone, but very fair people might benefit from this shade.

Will I Repurchase Essence Lipstick In the Nude?

No, I like long-lasting lipsticks so that we don’t need to re-apply. If I was in need of a lip-balm, I will straight away take Maybelline baby lips or Essence lip balm.  My complexion is medium fair.

Do I Recommend Essence Lipstick In the Nude?

Not actually, but if you are fair toned and still want to go ahead, choose a dark shade; lighter shades don’t show on lips in this product.

Packaging:

This vanilla-smelling creamy gorgeous nude shade comes in as usual pretty attractive bronze-golden packaging with twist over cap. Shade details are given at the base of bullet. Also, the twist over part has a colour coding of particular shade, so we can know the shade without opening the bullet. The packaging is quite classy and travel friendly.

My Experience with L’Oreal Colour Riche Lipstick – Silky Java:

On first swipe, it gives sheer brown pigmentation, I need to swipe it 2-3 times to get the actual nude brown shade on my lips. It is an everyday office wear kind of colour which looks great with your formal attires. It can be also paired with heavily smoked eye makeup look for a night out party.

Coming over to its texture, as you all know about L’Oreal Colour Riche formula, it is really creamy but feels very light and soft on the lips. My lips feel really nourished and hydrated. I never felt the need of applying a lip gloss or balm after wearing it. I just feel that the staying power could have been better. Normally, it stays for 2-3 hours provided we skip meals and water sips (which is impossible) however, I always keep these handy and I won’t mind touch ups occasionally.

Overall, I like the lipstick a lot and will explore the other shades of this range.

This one is a mauvish nude, it is creamy without shimmer and has that glossy cream finish like the others, the shade could wash out and might bleed a bit due to the texture. Apart from that it keeps the lips really nourished and feels very buttery.

I got this shade as a mistake, we have wonderful beauty shop here around my place in Pune so it is like kuan and pani situation well i tried the tester of another shade which said barely there on the sticker :/ and when i came back this is what I got :/ ok faces are you listening wrong labels is not a good thing, this has happened with me in Lotus herbals too so please ladies check your new product before you bring it home.

OHk so no one would drive me there so I decided to keep the lipstick, the reason behind this is that a cuouple of days ago, I saw some lip primers online which looked like this lipstick, I thought I will pretend this is a lip primer, as such I dislike puting a lip balm under my lippy, hence I will use this proper proper lippy balm types under my lippy (god save a makeup maniac) hence I kept it and it works fine as a lip primer.

Since we moved to dry Pune weather, my lips crave a lip moisturizing product and this is it, it is thicker than a balm, it stays on thicker and gives no color at all making it an ideal base for a lipstick, apply this and complete your makeup and come back to the lipstick and apply it over what ever remains, the matte color would be smoother and lips would look more supple.

On its own it is like a lip balm nothing else but staying power is better than a lip balm since it is thicker in consistency. Overall, I think no one would pay 500 for a lip balm like this but in case you are looking for a lip primer like me then try this or else skip it.

Clinique Long Last Lipstick – Pink Spice

My readers tell me that I am becoming predictable! I want to break the mold. So here I am – for the first time ever – reviewing a n*de or a MLBB shade for all the lovely ladies who prefer these and shy away from colour. If at the end of the review, I receive less comments, I will definitely correlate it saying – “More people prefer my neon shades”!! LOL!!!

Lets face it, we all do need a couple of MLBB shades – for the times we want to go dramatic with our eyes. The neons just clash way too much. I remember attending a MAC lesson where the 2 looks I covered were “pigment application on eyes” and “defining the pout”. So, by the end of the 2 hours, I had bright purple on my lids and Impassioned on my lips! Trust me, not a good combo!

So, in my search for an MLBB kind of shade, I went to Clinique – known for their natural looking makeup. The colour I chose was Pink Spice. (Though that was not the only colour I picked! Yeah – somebody spank me pls!!)

$15 in US / In India @ INR 1300.

Packaging:

The lipstick comes in standard packaging with a silver metallic ribbed case. The case is not hefty and fairly light instead. The lipstick has a normal twist-up mechanism.As is common with most lipstick brands, there is no colour indicator except for the sticker at the bottom of the lippy. Squint,squint and some more squinting needed!

My experience with Clinique Long Last Lipstick – Pink Spice

Color: The colour is more spice than pink with a hint of plum in it – giving it more life. It has a subtle shimmer (not frost). There is no grittiness due to the shimmer. The colour applies as an MLBB shade with a sheen to it. It would work great with dramatic eyes or pronounced cheek colour.

Texture: The texture is creamy and goes on smoothly without any tug or pull. The lipstick is like a MAC satin finish lipstick – which goes on creamy but later tends to suck moisture and make the lips look dry.

Pigmentation: A single swipe deposits 50% color. You do need to build it with a couple more swipes.

Lasting power:How do you make out if an MLBB shade is still on your lips? Since I am new to the world of n*de/MLBB shades, I really need help on this. I had to keep squinting at the mirror! OK! I’m kidding! Considering the Long last claims, the product barely stayed around for 3.5-4hrs and disappeared totally with my meal, leaving behind my dry lips.

To sum this up for you:

Pros of Clinique Long Last Lipstick – Pink Spice

1. A beautiful n*de/MLBBshade – with subtle shimmer.
2. Moderate pigmentation – Need atleast 2-3 swipes to build up the colour sufficiently.
3. Easy to apply from the tube
4. Lipstick applies easily – no tug or pull!
5. Does not settle into the fine lines of the lips
6. There was no feathering or bleeding
7. Decent unique packaging

Cons of Clinique Long Last Lipstick – Pink Spice

1. Clinique products are not easily available in India – except select ShopperStop counters or Clinique outlets (again associated with Shopperstop).
2. Not very long lasting – as its touted to be.
3. Not very hydrating either

IMBB Rating:

Yes, a 3/5 product.

The product isn’t bad – however, it does not deliver on the claims of being longlasting or hydrating. For an MLBB shade its decent. However, MAC Mehr is an MLBB shade for me – I do need more colour on my lips Gals! Can’t help it!

Today I am reviewing probably the best nude lipstick for Indian skin tones, mostly we complain of not finding our shade of nude or how most lipsticks would wash us out but we often look for a shade that would add some color but hardly noticeable, lips would look supple and pouty while still not too much color for office or college, this is just that, with more of a moisture look and the perfect neutral shade without any shimmer or sheen, it is just right for dry lips as well.

The Clinique lipsticks I must say have really amazed me I used to think they are skin experts I did not expect much from the makeup but I was so wrong. They make some amazing creamy lipstick, they glide like butter and the shades are awesome too, I think Ii have picked up the 5 best ones in fact this is the best nude lipstick in my collection with right supple factor to it.

I love the silver case they have, it feels quite heavy, I would say you might find the texture to be on the sheer to light side but you can build it up no doubt, it feels very light and moisturising so dry lips will love it and slight pigmentation will be covered as well.they dont stain or bleed at all.

The color is a soft brown in first glance you might think this is semi matte lipstick but in person it has that supple lip gloss not too much but fine, it makes lips look nourished, what else do you want it has got the right tint of brown to it, it will never wash you out, it is perfect for our warm skin tones.
The color is not a long last one in terms of being matte or setting but it still it survives a meal to my surprise it fades from the center of the lips but if you use two swipes it lasts at least 4-5 hours but it does not have the characteristics of a typical long last, it is buttery and creamy and almost semi matte.

Hard Candy Painted Lady Lipstick in Mannequin

My Experience with Hard Candy Painted Lady Lipstick in Mannequin

This particular lipstick is a part of the “Painted Lady” lipstick line. Hard Candy brand’s products have the cutest packaging and this one is no exception. Hard Candy has the most adorable packaging. I think it looks just cute. It comes in a white tube with a pretty flowers on the cap. It has a dome shape end and there is a pink satin ribbon which adds to the cuteness. In order to open the lipstick, you have to pull on the ribbon and it will open. I saw this lipstick in the clearance isle of Wal-Mart and was immediately attracted to the cute packaging and bought it. The color that I chose was “Mannequin”. It is a beautiful nude color shade with hints of pink. It is a flesh tone color and it matches my lip color a lot. I absolutely love this color. It suits me very well and I love wearing this while sporting a dark smokey eye look. It is even perfect for day time wear as it would suit any neutral makeup look beautifully.

The color glides on super smooth and is very creamy. I think it is a bit too creamy which is why the shade does not last me as long. It does not last me more than an hour. I really like the texture though, it feels smooth and it does not dry up my lips, keeps them fully moisturized. One thing that bothers me a lot about this product is the smell, it is very unpleasant. It smells something like cardboard boxes which annoys me a lot and it seems to linger on my lips after application after quite some time does it seem to go away. Another thing that I noticed was that this particular product is very limited in stores. I showed my lipsticks to my friend and she absolutely loved this lipstick and went to go buy it herself. Since HardCandy is sold in Wal-Marts and online, she decided to go find it in Wal-Mart. Unfortunately she was not able to find it anywhere near her area and had to come to the Wal-Mart closer to my house in order to find it. That truly is a downside because I am sure many people are wanting to try this and not everyone wants to purchase this product online. Hard Candy used to be sold in Sephora but all of a sudden it got discontinued and then later on appeared in Wal-Mart. I personally think they sell more in Wal-Mart than they did in the Sephora store. Overall, this is a decent lipstick because the colors are so pretty but as far as the staying power and cost go, it is hard to say it is worth it.

Yes I would recommend for those who do not mind applying lipstick multiple times. I personally do not mind and I am OK with applying it a few extra times.

Probably not but I would like to try other shades. In fact, I think I will go buy another shade soon.

This is the last of my five Clinique lipsticks which I thoroughly enjoyes reviewing, the packaging like i always say is awesome,it comes in a heavy metal case with a click lock, owning one of these is a must-do since these look like collector’s item. The carton is a simple one with a motif on it, somehow I have kept it safely.

Today’s color is a nice nude,it is pale and almost my natural lip color, when I look pale or have dry lips. The color is too pale and can be called milky too, I don’t think this is a shade for Indian skin tones, as this can look a little white on the lips. The texture is creamy and the finish is semi matte and it coats the lips evenly no issues there.

The color is shimmer free and creamy the problem is it can be very light and it is sure to wash you out, if i apply it very lightly then it might look like my natural lip color but honestly it wont do anything for my skin tone, features of complexion hence I think it is best used on top of some lipstick.

I love to mix match this with a darker shade, this can be a great mattifying and lightening lipstick for me, since sometimes I like to make some lipsticks look creamier, I can achieve it with this lipstick. The texture is buttery but it is not cakey or does not settle in the fine lines, it feels light and keeps lips moisturised.

I don’t know why they call it long last, it is above average, fairly lasting but it does not have the qualities of a long last, and it does not set either, it will transfer like other lipsticks too. This color can be tricky to wear on its own for warm skin tones, mix match suggested. I would suggest blushing nude shade over this one.

Good day everyone….I am more than happy to write this article as this would be my 100th article on IMBB. Thank you so much guys for giving me this chance and giving me a reason to buy stuff that I like. So today will be writing about a lip product from Shiseido. This is my second lipstick from Shiseido and its called Shiseido perfect rouge lipstick. The shade does not have a name on it, it only says, BE310. I know that its winter time and so dark lip colors look perfect, but I personally am in love with neutral shades these days and BE 310 is an addition to my neutral collection. It’s a perfect neutral shade, that does not pop out on lips neither it makes them washed out, but it simply brightens them up to give a more polished yet simple look.

Product quantity: 4 g / .14 oz.

Price: $ 25.00, but in India it’s available for INR 1550. I was lucky enough to get it on discount for 1364 from a site.

Packaging: This lipstick came in a metallic grey square shaped packaging. I am particularly focusing on this lipstick as the other one I have has a black packaging. It’s not a usual square shaped packaging, but has curves on each side. Now as the packaging is all metallic, color cannot be identified without opening the cap. Also as the lipstick does not have names written on it, to remember a particular color, you have to learn the numbers. I just have two of these so remembering numbers is easy for me.

The list of ingredients is mentioned on the outer packaging, but as I brought this online, I just got the lipstick without any outer packaging.

My take on the Shiseido Perfect Rouge Lipstick – BE 310

Color: As I mentioned earlier that I am in love with neutral shades, so this one is a perfect neutral. It’s neither a pinky neutral nor it’s too brown, it’s just simple nude. It’s a good shade for daily office wear. It does not have any shimmers to it and looks completely natural on the lips.

Texture: Texture-wise, the lipsticks are extremely smooth to apply; they glide on like butter on the lips and make the lips feel extremely soft and moisturized. These are non sticky and feels comfortable on lips. These lipsticks do not require a lip balm underneath them.

Pigmentation: These lipsticks are amazingly pigmented, just one swipe is sufficient to get the desired color. If a more intense color is desired, 2-3 swipes can easily be applied without making them look tacky.

Staying Power: The only thing I wasn’t too happy about was the staying power. As these lipsticks are too creamy they do not stay for a long time. 2-3 hours and these are gone, this happens especially with this shade. The other shade I have also do not stay for a very long time, but leave a slight tint on lips. This goes off completely even with a light meal. These lipsticks are transferable and this is another reason for their low staying power. Even if you drink water, some of the color is gone as it gets transferred on the glass.

Multiple swipes can sometimes magnify the lines on the lips, but this happens only when the lips are not properly exfoliated. So if you want a deeper color and are planning for multiple swipes, do not forget to exfoliate your lips, and in case of lack of time, just a single swipe is good to go.

• Perfect nude for me, neither too pink nor too brown, just a simple nude.
• Does not have any shimmers, but has a beautiful shine to it.
• Very smooth to apply.
• Lips feels comfortable and moisturized even without a lip balm underneath.
• Good pigmentation, one swipe is enough to get the perfect color.
• Classy, attractive packaging and a unique shape.

Cons of Shiseido Perfect Rouge Lipstick – BE 310

• It’s a little pricey.
• Not- so-amazing staying power.
• No name mentioned on the product (we have to remember the numbers).
• Easily transferable.

Would I buy Shiseido Perfect Rouge Lipstick – BE 310 again?

I know that these are pricey; still I have no doubt in saying that I will buy these again. I love them so much that I would definitely like to try some more shades, at least 2-3.

Do I recommend Shiseido Perfect Rouge Lipstick – BE 310?

If you can spend this much on a lipstick, do try these lipsticks, they are amazing. And if you are a fan of nude lips I would definitely recommend this one.

This is my first post here. But it wouldn’t come as much of a surprise if I say that I’ve been a fan of all you lovelies who post such helpful reviews here. The product I’m reviewing today is Maybelline Neo-Nude Lipstick in the shade NE 01. As of now this lipstick isn’t available in India. I picked it up on a recent visit abroad. The lipstick comes in 5 shades- the shades being n*de browns and pinks (shown below).

Price: $7.49-10; varies from store to store.

My experience with Maybelline ColorSensational Neonude lipstick

When I spotted this lipstick, I instantly decided I was picking this up because I hadn’t seen the Neonude collection in India (TBH, I wasn’t much into makeup anyway before I bought this lippie :D). The packaging is pretty and sophisticated. It is very handy and can easily fit into my jeans’ pocket too. Before I bought this lipstick, I had a pre conceived notion that all n*de lipsticks look pathetic on me because whichever neutral shades I had tried on before this one, more or less, made my lips look awkwardly cakey. But this particular shade totally amazed me. It goes too well with my skin tone and makes my face look fresh.

Also, this is one of the most creamy and moisturizing lipsticks I’ve ever applied on my lips; I don’t need to apply balm/chapstick before applying this lipstick. And this lipstick is so light, it almost feels like I’m just wearing a balm on my lips.
It gives a pretty glossy effect on my lips so I don’t have to worry about finding a similar shade of gloss to top it with. The staying power is also pretty good; it stayed on for good 4-5 hours and started fading after that. All in all, this is the most fabulous n*de lipstick l’ve come across so far.

Today I am going to review a great product Lord& Berry. So without talking much I am directly jumping to the claims & review.

My experience with Lord & Berry Intensity Lipstick- Chiffon

Packaging:- The lipstick comes in a black shiny classic case with the brand name written on it. The outer carton is white in color with the brand name. The cap closes with a click. The bullet is small compared to other lipsticks.The packaging is sturdy and yet travel friendly. Overall the packaging is cute & decent.

Texture, Colour & Pigmentation:-This lipstick is totally true to its claims. The texture of the lipstick is super creamy, glides like butter on lips. The texture is very smooth & soft. Being creamy, it is semi matte in finish.

The color of the lipstick is brownish nude,with pink undertones to it. The shade is very natural. The shade will suit fair to medium skin tones and complexions. And is perfect for every day wear, specially in offices,colleges it will just get camouflage with your complexion.The lipsticks are highly pigmented , the color payoff is so good that just a single stroke is enough to cover even highly pigmented lips. The opacity of the lipstick is fabulous. Being so creamy it doesn’t dry up lips and does not feel heavy on lips.

Staying Power:- The only thing I wish could be better in these lipsticks is the staying power. This shade completely stayed on me for 2.5 hours. I even took a shower,had some snacks but it was still intact. The staying power is satisfactory for me. But I think we all will want such a great creamy and expensive lipstick to stay on the lips for some more time.

Recommendation/Repurchase:- Yes,surely buy this lipstick for the awesome pigmentation & color and if you’re ready to pay the price, please do try it.

I will definitely keep on buying lipsticks from this range but all pretty different shades.

I have a sheer glossy brown lipstick from B&D to share today, I had hauled the store for creamy lipsticks but when I used this later,I found it to be a hard sticky lipstick which is a good brown for day wear and comes in a super glossy finish.

The bullet is velvety in texture on the outside, the shade is inspired by Mac like you can see, but the packaging somehow comes across very cheap,I am not fond of it at all.FOr 350 I am sure they can do better. But true these days most lipsticks are priced at more than 350, I think it still click locks in place but not very good to travel with.

The texture feels like it some gel lipsticks , some may like the glossy finish, but I have to say most products from this brand smell chemically.

The color is a soft brown, it is on the sheer side and you will feel the need to layer it on if you have pigmented lips.The color is great for day wear, office but is not a very young color. What I hate most if that it is very thick, hard and sticky.It wont come out creamy or it will not give you full coverage in one or two swipes.The color can be sheer glossy in one coat if you like it like that.When you need to swipe on and on it will come out messy, so either way it is a loss.

The color can make dry lips look fuller, and may not settle in lip lines which is the only advantage probably. The bullet shakes and dents and spoils the edges, I am some one who like to wipe clean most products after ruse, so it is a put off for me if the bullet shakes.

If you want a thicker layer, it is best applied with a lip brush that can sweep off the product.It is sticky to transfers easily. It would stay for lesser than three hours.The color can be natural for dusky skin tones. FOr me it does not do much. Overall you can miss this shade. I dont know why they have varied quality for the same brand.

Revlon Super Lustrous Creme Lipstick Fleshtone

Everyone knows how much I love these lipsticks, you can see part of my super lustrous collection here and my best 25 picks from this range here, today I have a peachy golden nude for you, in a creme finish, yes this can be your nice little peach MLBB shade you might love, it is super creamy and moisturizing, so something for everyone to look out for .This shade will remind you of the shades “first love” and “coffee break”

The color comes in a creme finish, a nice creamy light to wear but it does appear cakey in case of too much layering, this is a non-frost shade and has a soft creamy shine to it, it is not matte, but almost semi matte after a meal maybe.The color has some gold or peach to it but on Indian skin it will come out as a light beige or milky brownish nude, perfect!

The color applies very smoothly, it looks light and little milky for pinker skin but for warm skin it is nice enough, very dark skin can skip it, I love how creamy pigmented these lipsticks are! you must give a few of them a try.

The problem with this can be bleeding since if layered too much it recedes outside the lip line, and the yellow might show more if you layer it on, the color needs a base or a lip liner so to say. It is fine for pigmented or dry lips and also for day and office wear, but it could last longer I wish, 2-3 hours is what you are looking at and the color will vanish with a meal.

(got a “hope faith” tattoo done last week, was on my mind for long, super happy!)

I quite like such semi opaque creamy and nude lipsticks, also work fine to lighten a darker color, so do check it out.

I have a beautiful nude lipstick to share with you ladies today, just right for warm skin tones. This is the color most of you have been looking for . This has the right amounts of peach and beige in it. The range now has a new name and is called glam on color perfect. They have come out with awesome new shades which really took me by surprise.

The packaging is a grey metallic one, the lock clicks well enough to carry it in the bag. The pricing I believe is fine, 499 for some nice shades in smooth finish is not bad. The color is creamy and has no shimmer in it. The finish is creamy matte.

The texture is smooth but not so buttery.It is build-able. It does not render a thick coat on the lips. In one coat it looks light and feels moisturizing.It is not thick on the lips.Pigmented lips might find it a little light but this can sure be built up to hide lip pigmentation. Since it only looks matte and feels soft, dry lips can try it. Flaky lips need to beware.

The color has the right beige and peach in it. It really does not wash me out. It looks just right and hence it is ideal for nude lips, office or college. this is suitable for warm to neutral skin tones.

One thing I noticed about these is the colored label which is cute but it does not match the color of this one never mind. I think this lipstick will be liked by all, a nice warm color, does not wash out, and feels light and nourishing.It also stays on above average.

Packaging: – It comes in a sleek beautiful tube… with the brand and shade name mentioned. The tube is handy, easy to carry, long, leak proof with  a silver cap….if you are at window shopping & bump on this brand counter , you will definitely be tempted to grab at least one of  these glosses, but just one I think because it is on the pricey side.

Actually I am a matte lips lover & really don’t like shimmer & glitters on my lips, to be very frank this beauty also did not impress me much with same reason. Forever young is a beautiful perfect & youthful pink color which will brighten up your face if combined with any pink lipstick .I actually fell in love with this color which I found great to be applied on top of lipsticks.

It has a cute heart shape applicator that comes with the Glam Shine 6 Hours especially, it helps in application and is made according to lip shape. the texture is very smooth and the color comes out even and uniform. This lip gloss has lot of shine & shimmer.But on the lip the gloss feels heavy and sticky I think due to the long lasting nature. If you press your lips together you can feel the stickiness.

The color is very beautiful & long wearing; it stays almost 3 -4 hours without meals which is quite a long duration for agloss. After that color fades away but shimmer still keeps you shining for  a long time

I’m back with the review of another current favorite of mine, Loreal Paris Rouge Caresse lipstick in the shade Sweet Berry. It’s an adorable pink-brown nude and a perfect everyday- wear lipstick. Read on to find more about it.

My take on L’oreal Paris Rouge Caresse Sweet Berry:

This is the sixth Rouge Caresse lipstick in my stash and while I don’t like two of the six shades I own, I love the rest four to death. I kid you not! This, in my opinion, is the best range of lipsticks by Loreal.

The packaging, like I described in my earlier post on Rouge Caresse lipsticks, is very much similar to the packaging of the infallible lipsticks, just that these ones have a hint of golden at the centre. The sticker at the bottom denotes the shade and is color coordinated with the shade of the lipstick. All in all, a very sleek, sturdy and classy packaging.

Like I said before, this is one of the best textured lipsticks out there! So soft and creamy, almost feel like a lip balm on lips. I actually prefer such balmy lipsticks to matte ones that settle into fine lines making lips look awful and then they take forever to get removed from lips. Ugghhh! Rouge Caresse lipsticks on the other hand are super moisturizing and are so smooth in texture that they glide onto lips very effortlessly without any tugging and give a gorgeous sheen to lips. It does not settle into fine lines at all. It’s sheer to buildable. Though, just two swipes are sufficient for me most of the times.

It’s like a lip balm, a lipstick and a lip gloss all came together to make one single lip product that solves the purpose of these three. The shade Sweet Berry is a really pretty pink-brown n*de that will suit most skin tones (yippeee ! ). I usually wear this lip shade with a smokey eye look. Now coming to the only minus about this lipstick- the staying power. It barely stays on for 2 hours and then it needs a touch up (which I don’t really mind; but I would have loved this more if it were a little long lasting). Leaving the staying power aside, everything else about this lipstick is just perfect!

Revlon Matte Lipstick Eclair Bite

Vibrant colour that glides on lips effortlessly and leaves matte effect. It stays all day long and feels comfortable. The creamy formula works well with or without added lip gloss and also keeps the lips soft and supple.

An ideal pick for those seducing lips!

This is a matte lipstick and somehow I think I can make most matte lipsticks work so I took this shade as a gift. This is a nice range and the shades Fabulous fig and Rosedew are my favorites. You can read more on those. The packaging is very bland. Just a simple click lock and a sticker and a silver band in the center saying Revlon. So nothing great.

The color is a deep brown almost leaning towards grey. The color does have some yellow undertones. The color can almost be a nude lip color for darker skin tones and pigmented lips if worn lightly. It has no shimmer and is powder matte.

The texture is fine, it is not buttery, but it is creamy enough. It does not render a thick coat in one layer. It feels light enough but dry lips may not like it. In two coats it will feel more powdery and very matte.On its own it is a light to medium matte lipstick, it is not heavy or cakey till two coats.

You might feel the need to layer it on evenly, to make the color better.It could be more pigmented and even but it is not a bad texture, may be it could be more opaque. but this color is not for me.It makes me look like I have natural brown lips. So yes this could be a natural color for many. The color lasts for 4 hours easily but could feel dry at many points in time.

I love love love NYX lipsticks! This is something I have been looking for since ages. I do not have anyone staying in the US who can bring me NYX, but I got these from an international site long ago. The Shades I wanted were out of stock so I went for two natural shades. I have reviewed natural already and this one is a brown nude, a beautiful soft matte.It will remind you have the desert rose shade from Chambor.

The pricing is comfortable, so is the nice see through packaging. Very cute.The cap does lock but somehow I have a feeling if this comes off in the bag, it will be a nig mess so ycan keep it inside a makeup pouch maybe.The print on the tube is super cute too. The big “matte” written calls out to girls like me.

The color is a nude brown. The color is matte, very soft very butter and glides feather smooth. The pigmentation is awesome and is opaque,one coat really gives you a nice coverage.Pigmented lips will be covered too.The color is a dull one.I think this can be an MLBB shade for many but can bring dullness to the face.

The texture is buttery. very very creamy but still sturdy. You will not like how it settles in lip lines. It settles in cracks, but one coat does not feel heavy or cakey. At no point does this matte feel dry at all! LOve it!It stays above average.

I would love to get all of the NYX matte lipsticks. I do recommend it to matte lovers. This shade could be dull but an MLBB one.

L’Oreal Color Riche Lipstick #381 Silky Toffee

Hello beautiful people,

I am back with another lipstick and this is from the natural blondes range of L’Oreal Color Riche lipsticks. I picked up the shade 381, Silky Toffee. As my love for nudes and naturals continue, I can never have enough of the shade.

Product Description: This lipstick is enriched with a combination of Omega – 3 oils and Vitamin E and helps to protect your lips from drying. It’s soft and creamy texture leaves lips moisturized and smooth with a perfect finish.

My Experience with L’Oreal Color Riche Lipstick #381 Silky Toffee:

Packaging: It comes in regular L’Oreal click lock frost gold packaging. The shade name and number is mentioned at the bottom of the tube. The sticker is color coded and hence it will not be lost in the huge stash of lipsticks. Quite simple yet functional packaging. Nothing to rant or rave.

Texture: The lipstick is super creamy and buttery smooth. It glides on like dream on lips. But one down side of being super creamy is that, it tends to slide from the lips. I would advice to cover lips with lip liner before lipstick application. Though you might wear it like a sheer lipstick but the pigmented lips would not be perfectly covered with this lipstick. Other than that the color applies creamy and glossy on lips.

Pigmentation: The lipstick is quite pigmented but the formula is such that it tends to slip away and not “sit” on the lips. Not very troublesome if you are someone who wears lipsticks with lipliner but people who tend to skip lip lining might find it a little difficult. It has to be layered to show its perfect shade.

Staying power: Considering it is a creamy finish lipstick it stays for around 4 hours on the lips, after which it starts to fade evenly. It transfers to cups and mugs being super creamy in nature.

The shade is nude shade and on my NC42 skintone, it comes off like a perfect peachy nude. For skintones above 42, I would suggest trying it at the store. It has tendency to wash out. I picked it up solely out of my love for nude shades. If you are a nude/natural lover like me, definitely try this. This is a lovely shade to be paired with smokey eyes.
